Perhaps, in a way; after all, there must be a reason people are afraid to cry and perceive that it will be seen as a weakness. I doubt everyone just individually makes that fear up. Of course, influence from peers, toxic masculinity, etc. is involved, but still, none of that stuff came out of a vacuum; sociology arises from human psychology. It seems to be that crying can be a sign of weakness because crying indicates you're overwhelmed.

On the other hand, strength isn't the same as emotional callousness, and most of the time if someone doesn't cry it's probably more of the latter than the former.

Also on the other hand, if you're afraid to express yourself and allow that vital release by crying for fear of what others will think, is that more of a strength, or a weakness..? Think about it.
